Weaving Art & Strategy: Developing a Modern Brand for a Premier Tattoo Studio
Role: Creative Coordinator | Disciplines: Content Strategy, Art Direction, Photography, Event Planning and Marketing, Social Media Marketing
At its heart, a tattoo studio is a collective of incredible artists. My mission as Creative Coordinator was to build a strategic framework that could amplify their talent, connect it with the right audience, and transform artistic passion into measurable growth.

Content to Consults:
Engineering Audience Growth
I diagnosed our social presence and found we were speaking, but not always connecting. I developed and implemented a performance-driven content strategy for Instagram and a monthly newsletter, shifting our focus from purely aesthetic posts to content that educated and engaged.
By diving deep into engagement data, I identified powerful trends: our audience craved the process (time-lapse videos of tattoos coming to life) and the artist behind the ink (personality-driven highlights, resident artist introductions). I concepted, shot, and edited short-form video and imagery tailored to these insights. This strategic pivot didn't just create buzz—it grew our follower base by 20% and, most importantly, drove a significant increase in appointment requests, directly linking our creative efforts to studio revenue.
Underpinning every initiative was a commitment to data. I maintained a structured tracking roadmap for both artist portfolio performance and content analytics. By consistently analyzing engagement rates and conversion metrics, I moved beyond guesswork. These insights directly informed our A/B testing strategies for everything from Instagram Reel hooks to email subject lines, creating a perpetual cycle of testing, learning, and optimizing for success.
The Result: A transformed brand presence that was not only more beautiful and authentic but also intelligent and effective—turning viewers into clients and solidifying the studio's position as a creative destination.
Orchestrating Large-Scale Creative Events
Our strategy culminated in the physical world through large-scale event execution. I acted as the central hub for cross-functional collaboration, working with artists, event staff, and vendors to plan and promote major projects. This included a flagship tattoo convention with over 30 artists and 60 vendors, drawing 1000+ attendees over two days.
My role was to ensure that every touch point—from the initial social media teaser to the signage at the event—was seamless and aligned with our strategic brand goals. I coordinated all moving parts, ensuring the creative vision was executed flawlessly to elevate our studio's profile and prestige.
Curating a Collective: Developing a Guest Artist Program
To perpetually inject fresh inspiration and world-class talent into our studio, I developed and launched our comprehensive guest artist program. I sourced, vetted, and onboarded a curated roster of 30+ high-quality visiting artists, treating them as vital UGC (User-Generated Content) creators.
This initiative was built on strategic curation, not just recruitment. My goal was to act as a creative matchmaker, sourcing and vetting a global roster of 30+ exceptional visiting artists who not only possessed incredible skill but whose style, ethos, and aesthetic were a authentic extension of the No Good brand.
Every artist was onboarded with a tailored brief designed to strategically align their unique offerings with our clients' demonstrated tastes and demands. This ensured each collaboration felt like a natural, exciting event for our community—elevating our studio's prestige, delivering unforgettable art to our clients, and building a powerful pipeline for perpetual innovation.
